For those of you that view Gaidens Ryu Hayabusa as a brutal thug rather than a true stealthy assassin, Tenchu Z is the quietly murderous yin to Ninja Gaidens flashy slashing yang.It does have it's disappointments though - when will they get far more creative with the stealth kills - I'll elaborate more on that with my suggestion to the developer.Xbox 360 Review - 'Tenchu Z' by Chris Lawton on Aug. PDT Tenchu Z features a new robust character editor, allowing you to create your own Ninja.Gameplay: As I mentioned earlier, you are armed with a sword and a grappling hook. You can take other items with you on missions. You can finish missions very early with out killing every one - if you know where to go to kill your target, obtain your item (secret documents, spy report etc.) whatever you gotta do to beat the mission. Sadly, subsequent sequels failed to improve upon the strong foundation laid out by the first title.
Tenchu Z Review Series To Date
In between thwarting the country of Ogawara's plans, the protagonist also receives missions in which he or she eliminates evil people such as abusive monks and greedy merchants. There is no connection between Tenchu Z's plot and those in the previous games, nor are there any returning characters with the exceptions of Rikimaru and Lord Gohda.Tenchu Z is the largest game in the series to date, containing 50 missions with different difficulty settings and objectives. As a new recruit in the Azuma Ninja Clan, the protagonist is sent to assassinate those who are assisting the country of Ogawara, including army generals and spies who have infiltrated the House of Gohda, as well as recover stolen items and rescue prisoners. The House of Gohda, where the Azuma Ninja Clan reside under the service of Lord Gohda, is on the brink of war with the neighboring country of Ogawara. If you get blood on you/fall into a dung-trap, the bad guys can smell it and will be alarmed for a while. Stealth-kills can not be performed on alerted bad guys.Graphics: The graphics are noticeably better than any other Tenchu game - this game is a success from the point of view that this game is fun without needing eye candy - none of the games in the series have ever been known for their graphics, but this one definitely does have the best graphics of any in the series.Sound: I don't really pay much attention to the sound, but I did notice that when bad guys are after you, the music changes. It's adequate I guess - it doesn't quite complement the game like the first Tenchu's music did.Suggestions: GET MORE CREATIVE WITH THE STEALTH KILLS !!!Why can't we use our grappling hook rope to make a noose to lower over a bad guy's neck and hang him?Why can't we try to intercept some food/drink/refreshment that is on it's way to the bad guy and either poison it, or disguise our ninja as the servant that's gonna serve it to him, and then let the ninja do his thing? Why can't we have a spear on a rope to throw down from the rooftop that we can impale a bad guy with and then recover it (and possibly the corpse too, or something?)Why can't we cling to cielings for ever if we're near a corner? Also, make the ninja more responsive and more like Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden - Ninjas are supposed to be in hand to hand combat too aren't they?Make missions where you can't be spotted once - being detected = mission failure.Make a variety of poisons that you have to eventually make yourself immuned to - maybe make it possible to coat your fingers with a skin absorbent poison that you're immuned to so you simply have to touch your enemy's bare skin to kill him, or damage his health/paralyze himMake missions where you gotta steal something from someone's person with or without killing them.Xbox Game Search Site Statistics Registered Members: 52,350Cheat Codes: 1,706 Latest News Rover Mechanic Simulator Out Now on XboxA unique game that puts you in the shoes of a Mars rover engineer and lets you work on a selection of painstakingly recreated vehicles based on the official NASA blueprints!Insurgency: Sandstorm Releases Heart-Pounding Cinematic TrailerIn Insurgency: Sandstorm, players are immersed in close-quarters battlegrounds where the smallest of details can give an edge.
Certain skills can be upgraded twice, enhancing the protagonist's abilities beyond those of the characters from previous games.Enemies can now hear the protagonist's footsteps if he or she runs too close to them, and they may hear the footsteps from a greater distance if the protagonist runs on noisy surfaces such as a puddle of water. The unlockable skills however are more varied, with most of them making their first appearance in the series while others return from previous games with some tweaks. Only one fighting style is available: a Ninjato that can either be set with slower but more damaging attacks (the same as Rikimaru's in previous games) or faster and weaker attacks with different animations. The main difference is that, as mentioned above, players create their own character and unlock new skills, items and clothing for him or her as the game progresses.

Unlike the previous games, lighting is also a factor here as the protagonist is less likely to be spotted while standing or crouching in a dark area.
